February, 2008

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

I am pleased to announce that I have filed my nomination papers for Selectman. I believe I am a highly qualified candidate for the position. After having served the town on the Warrant Committee for five years, including the past two years as Chairman, I feel that the position of selectman is the next logical progression in my volunteer commitment to the town. Over the last five years, I have gained a thorough understanding of the town finances, and have forged solid relationships with the town’s department heads and members of the various volunteer boards and committees.

My experience growing up in town, and also raising a family in Medfield is a continuous source of pride for me. I have a long-term perspective on where the town has been, and where it needs to go to continue to be a vibrant community.

As a direct descendant of Joseph Clark, one of the 13 founding fathers of Medfield, I am deeply committed to the vitality of this town. Joseph served as a selectman in 1660, as did many of my ancestors throughout the years.

Attached is a summary of my qualifications for the position of selectman. My professional and volunteer work with various organizations, as detailed, has given me the experience to serve as your selectman. Please vote for me on Monday, March 31, 2008.

Sincerely,

Mark L. Fisher
